MISSION STATEMENT
AND
PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
We, the St. Charles Borromeo Parish School of Religion, are bound by a deep commitment to our Catholic Faith.
We have been called by Jesus to be a living community of God's people through worship, teaching and service.
Our mission is to assist and support the parents of students who attend public school, as they nurture the gift of faith in their children.
Our goal is twofold:
First, as the children hear the Gospel message of Jesus, we encourage to respond to the presence of God and continually seek to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Second, we strive to serve as positive role models, as we personally live the Gospel of Jesus as Catholic individuals.
Through participation in the students' faith formation, we continually seek to "renew our faith", as we grow to understand its significance in our daily Christian lives.
Parish School of Religion (PSR)
Saint Charles Parish School of Religion classes provide instruction and formation in the Catholic Faith to students grades K-5 thru 8th grade. The academic year for Parish Religious Education runs from early September through late May. All classes take place at Saint Charles Parish on Sundays from 9:30am-10:45am.
Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry, grades 9-12 also meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:45AM. This is a multi-faceted program where youth gather to build community and fellowship as well as to pray and share in faith activities and participate in service projects.
