Hello Parents and Teachers,
I hope you are all doing well, staying healthy and that you had a very blessed Palm Sunday, What a beautiful day it was and is today.
It is with great disappointment that I have to inform you all that PSR classes for the year have been suspended due to the COVID-19. Since we have not yet seen the peak of infection, we know this situation will not be over for a while longer. Therefore, the Diocese made the difficult choice to play it safe and suspend PSR and PSR activities.
Those who have prepared for First Communion, it will still happen. A date has not been set and may not be set until we see how things are going to go. I don't want to make plans that we have to further change. So, closer to the end of April we will know more and I will get with Fr. Thomas to reschedule.
Those who are doing Confirmation, we do not have a date from the Diocese, but our plan to have Confirmation in the Fall seems to be unaffected at this time. We will hopefully have a specific date by June or July. Since the Diocese has to reschedule all Spring Confirmations and with getting a new Bishop in June, I don't really know when to expect it to be, or when exactly we will know.
As for Vacation Bible School - I am hoping that we can still have VBS this summer. However, there is much uncertainty as to when we can start planning and building sets and doing all the things that require many people working together. If there is any way we can do it, we will. But, unfortunately, there is no way to make a definite plan yet.
This situation has been so hard for everyone! We miss you all greatly and I hope to be in contact with you soon with much better news. Until then, please continue to pray for our parish and for those affected by COVID-19.
Thank you all,
Brandi Bright
